How to prevent Mobile/SIM Swap fraud?

Typical Calls

1. Sir your SIM will be deactivated in 30mins. To keep it activated send a SMS to 121.
2. Sir where is your bank account?
3. Sir share the code (OTP) you have received.

At any step if you feel your SIM has been compromised.

1. Get your SIM blocked/barred immediately.
2. Block your bank accounts.
3. Change your email and other account passwords that were configured on your mobile.

Airtel SIM Swap Process

1. To change the SIM, you need to send the 20-digit number at the back of the new card to 121 prefixing SIM. When the request is accepted, select 1 to confirm.
2. Within a few minutes the service on your existing SIM will stop. Once that happens, insert the new SIM and wait for the network to show up.

Generate Password Online

1. Enter your User ID.
2. Enter your Mobile Number.
3. Enter the Unique Reference Number (URN) on your registered mobile number.
4. Enter the new Password.
