What to do if your phone is lost or stolen?

Here I will elaborate step by step process to be followed.

  1. Block your SIM with your service provider.
  2. On Android phone, either do Secure Device or Erase Device by visiting https://www.google.com/android/find/
  3. On Samsung phone, either lock, track or erase by visiting https://smartthingsfind.samsung.com/
  4. Optional - Also change your google account password by visiting https://myaccount.google.com/intro/signinoptions/password
  5. Raise an online FIR by visiting https://delhipolice.gov.in/
  6. Block your Phone/Device by raising complaint. at https://www.ceir.gov.in/Request/CeirUserBlockRequestDirect.jsp
    1. IMEI mentioned will be blocked by all service providers.
    2. You will need following info to raise complaint.
      1. IMEI1 and IME12
      2. Mobile Bill
      3. Id Proof
      4. Police FIR Number
  7. Request for new SIM at Service Provider outlet
    1. Pay Rs50 for new SIM.
    2. Do face and biometric verification at outlet in person.
    3. SIM will be activated in 4hrs for calls and 24hrs for SMS.
